The Molly Brown House Museum offers histories of Denver (+ Colorado), the unsinkable” Titanic, and an inspirational local and national political leader. On the night the Titanic sank, she tried to coordinate efforts to put more people into each lifeboat, before she herself was thrown into one against her will by a crewmember who thought she was being a nuisance. The Molly Brown House Museum has been hosting its annual Victorian Horrors Halloween ghost stories for 21 years and it is one of the most popular events.

At the end of the 1890s, Margaret and James decided to settle in Denver, so they bought a house that was designed in stunning Victorian style. The house has been owned by several people since Margaret's death, but the organization Historic Denver Inc. Having survived the sinking of Titanic in 1912 she went on to become one of the most famous personalities in the nation, even earning the nickname the unsinkable Molly Brown” for her heroic efforts in saving passengers on the ill fated ship.

She and her husband J.J. Brown struck it rich in the gold rush in Leadville and moved to Denver to enjoy a l avish lifestyle. Visitors can see the Molly Brown House by taking a tour through it. All tours are guided and take about 45 minutes. Margaret Brown saved many passengers' lives by helping them evacuate the Titanic. When her children were young, she was involved in the early feminist movement in Leadville and aided the establishment of the Colorado chapter of the National American Women's Suffrage Association.
